hereinafter referred to as the Justice Fund, it is an earmarked fund aimed at helping victims and witnesses, counteracting crime and post-penitentiary assistance. The Minister of Justice is the judge of the Justice Fund. The Justice Fund was created on the basis of art. 43 of the Executive Penal Code of June 6, 1997 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 652, as amended). Detailed rules for granting aid and subsidies under the Fund have been set out in the Regulation of the Minister of Justice of 13 September 2017 on the Assistance Fund for Victims and Post-penitentiary Assistance - the Justice Fund (Journal of Laws 2017, item 1760). The ordinance defines the rules and modes of granting subsidies for units of the public finance sector as well as for entities not belonging to the public finance sector.
It works for the citizens of the city of Nowy Sącz and the surrounding area. It conducts activities in the field of legal and civic advice, professional counseling and assistance in undertaking professional activity. It is especially focused on helping victims of crime. It cooperates with the Municipal Office, the Municipal Police Headquarters in Nowy Sącz, the local Crisis Intervention Center, the Municipal Social Welfare Center, the Omega Audit company in the field of vocational counseling. In November 2015, there was established a cooperation and concluded an agreement with the Hetman J. Tarnowski foundation. The Foundation's innovation consists in using the potential, knowledge and professional experience of former police officers.
